5 Videos You Need to Create to Make Instagram Reels Content Creation Easier
When you go to create Reels content, does it feel like you need to carve out an ENTIRE afternoon to just film a Reel or two? And all of that just feels way too time-consuming… so you just don’t post Reels? Period.
Listen - I GET IT!!
Reels content creation can feel super overwhelming and super time-consuming. There is one practice that you can put into place to make this whole process easier and more seamless.
You can batch create Reels video content, store it in your phone, and jump on trends with content that is already pre-recorded.
No more taking time out of your day to set up your tripod, do your hair and makeup, and spend hours of your time trying to create a video.
You can have stock content on hand, organized in folders on your phone, to pull from when you are creating Reels!! All of this content will make jumping on trends a WHOLE lot easier!
There are 5 key videos that you should create and save to your phone!
Nature & Landscapes
These types of videos are PERFECT to use for backgrounds when creating Reels that require a pretty background with text on top. By taking videos of nature, landscapes, and anything else in your environment, people get a good look at where you spend your time… but you can easily jump on trends that require this type of background video!
Video Tutorial: How to Curate Stock Videos in Canva
BONUS TIP: Yes, it is best to go out and create your own, but you can also find a TON of great stock videos inside of Canva to use for your Reels as well!! Watch the video below on how to curate these to save on your phone!
Your Workspace or Business
Whether you own a retail space, have an office, or work from home on your couch - take videos of your working environment.
This can be anything from wide shots that show off your entire retail store to the perfectly styled pens and pencils on your desk in your office OR show off that cup of coffee that has been sitting on your side table for the last 3 hours (this is a judgment-free zone!)
Timelapse Of Yourself
This one is super simple… and so interesting for your audience to view. You can use these in all different kinds of scenarios. Simply put your phone on a tripod or steady space, scroll over to the timelapse setting on your iPhone, and ACTION!! Create timelapses of you working, creating, packaging orders, adding names to a launch wall, or anything else you are doing for a period of time.
PRO TIP: do the action for at least 5-10 minutes to keep the clip interesting. You will get a lot more movement and visual interest to keep your viewer hooked.
Looking at The Camera
These videos might feel a bit silly, but are some of the most effective!! All you have to do is record yourself for 5-15 seconds looking at the camera. You can spice up the video by smiling, looking around, giving a little sass, pointing at different objects, or even a little dance if you are feeling brave!!
This works because your audience gets to see your face, and connect with you, but you don’t necessarily have to “show up” and talk to the camera. You can have your face on the screen, jump on a trend, and add text as needed!
Clips of Your Day
Take small clips of your day, even the things that seem the most mundane, and you can and combine them to create vlogs for your Reels. The main thing to think about here is creating diversity and keeping things dynamic. So get creative and try closeup angles, try keeping your phone still, then move the camera around, get wide shots, and then try some movement or action shots. You can combine these clips in order to create a visual story!
And if you don’t feel like creating Reels all on your own, you can add these dynamic videos to some of our favorite Reels templates. This is going to save you EVEN MORE TIME!
